Introduction
At its regular concert, the orchestra reimagines great string quartet masterpieces in full string orchestra arrangements. The program features Haydn’s Emperor Quartet, Schubert’s Death and the Maiden, and Dvořák’s American Quartet which represent the spirit of their times. Adding to the richness of the evening, flutist Myungjoo Ahn joins the orchestra for Mercadante’s Flute Concerto No. 2.
