Introduction
Raftsmen was created to honor the nameless laborers who spread Jeongseon Arirang across the country while navigating timber rafts downriver. Set against the backdrop of their times and regions, the piece depicts the struggles and sorrows of these raftsmen who braved fierce currents without yielding to hardship. From their lives blossomed Jeongseon Arirang, which continues to resonate deeply and pose enduring questions for us today.
