Introduction
In Memphis, Tennessee, during the 1950s, a time rife with discrimination and conflict, a white youth named Huey becomes captivated by rock ’n’ roll, then dismissed as “Black music.” Moved by the voice of Felicia, a singer he encounters by chance in a club, he strives to bring her music to the world. As a DJ, he helps spread rock ’n’ roll and sparks a cultural wave, but both love and dreams collide with harsh realities. On stage unfolds a powerful drama of music and love that transcends prejudice, tracing the birth of rock ’n’ roll.
